By the time I graduated, I had no edges at all and several smooth bald patches on my scalp. I went through the usualy scalp injections, topical steroid creams but nothing seemed to work. However, even now that I’m 45 yrs. old, I still remain hopeful for a cure and I am going to continue to seek for the cure. I have an extremely high T-lymphocyte count and although not extremely uncomfortable allergic reactions to the slightest of things from food to pollution so I know the sensitivity is there. I also get acute dermatitis on my face. It various in its severity. Most times I can deal with it. I even went to have my thyroid glands examined, but they couldn’t find anything. I’m not giving up hope on finding a cure. Deep inside I believe that I’m on the brink of finding the problem. I feel so strong and confident that I’m not going to allow this disease to consume my life. Last year, I learned how to swim being bald in the water is so relaxing and I have a wonderful man in my life who loves me for me. This is giving me strength to fight this thing to the very end.
