To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Unresolved Itching I am in desperate need of help regarding my itching. I have seen my primary care physician and a dematologist several times. He indicated to me that it was some type of dematitis. I have changed soap, changed laundry detergent and have done everything that the Dr has asked me to. To no avail I still continue to itch. The itching is not only myself but my husband and daughter. I seem to have the worst of it. I have small red itchy bumps which at times moves from different parts of my body. Primarily it covers my upper thighs and legs, stomache area and sometimes on the my arms and legs. I have taken Doxepin and other antihistaimes. I have applied steroid based creams as well. Currently I have some weaping itching areas on my feet and sometimes between my toes and fingers. It has been an ongoing problem. Nothing seems to help. I have another followup appointment with my dermatologist later this week. I even have areas around and outside my genetial (not inside) that is itching as well. I am thinking that maybe I need a biopsy or blood test since someone indicated to me that it may be viral. The symptons comes and goes but mainly I have never stopped itching for the past 12 months. I am desperate for any guidance at this point. Obviously it is not dry skin as my Dr indicated. My primary physician does not have an answer and my other Dr thought that maybe light therapy might work. The problem being it has affected my husband and 10 year old daughter as well. We have even thought that maybe there was things in the household that have been changed which may have caused this. New furniture and washer and dryer was purchased in the past 12 months. I thought that maybe it was something in the house but when I left town for a week I still had the itching. Please give any feedback or experiences that may be helpful. Comments
