To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download The Spread of Fungal Infection It is apparently evident that my body chemistry does not discourage fungal infection I suspect it is because my body has a slightly lower acid rating, acid being contraindicative to fungi. My story is that just before 40 years of age, I started long distance running. As I occasionally participated in distant sites, I showered and dressed in the local gymnasium. I suspect I first contracted dermatophytes from the floors of these gymnasiums. My toenails started to get grey, but, out of ignorance, I was not concerned. Then I developed an itching red ring formation on by inner thigh. My physician prescribed Lotrimin, and explained that it was a fungal infection The Lotrimin cleared it. Then, a few months later, I experience breathing difficulty. I thought it was pneumonia but I was diagnosed as having asthma A few years later I suffered polyps in my nose. These were surgically removed. A few years later they re-occurred. They are now controlled with a cortisoid spray. I have become persuaded that my “asthma” and my nasal polyps are fungal infections. I now also actively treat my nail fungus. I am aware that my nail fungus requires keratin to survive. But I believe some other type of fungus, an oxygen breathing organism, has invaded my nasal mucous membrane, and my lungs. This, of course, is my hypothesis, but I am persuaded that it is valid.
