To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download You may have to diagnose yourself (My rash was sulphur reaction.) I suffered with skin rash and severe itching of about 30-40 percent of my body for almost two years. The scratching brought infections. There was a large amount of dead scales falling off contiuously. I saw 5 dermatologists and two allergy doctors. They said I had Dermatitis (Eczema) and Psoriasis. One dermatologist sent color pictures to an online group of 1500 dermatologists for diagosis. I was prescribed multiple steroid creams and ointments and even Cellcept, because they thought I was rejecting my skin (It is used after organ replacement to prevent rejection). Five biopsies were done with negative results. I was also negative for fungus. The severe itching continued with many sleepness nights. After seven months a 24 panel patch test showed that I was allergic to Caines (Nova, benzo, Lana, Solar…, etc) and also related were sufonylureas and hydrochlorothizide HCTZ). I stopped one diabetic med and one diuretic and the suffering decreased about 10-15 percent, but was still driving me nuts. In a grocery checkout line somemone mentioned that they were allergic to sulphur. I started heavy research on the internet and eventually found that sulphur could cause my symptoms. I also found the formulas for my meds and the inactive ingredients and found that most them contained sulphur. I started changing them one at a time in spite of my reluctant Internist. With each med I changed to non sulphur I got markedly better. What is most sad is that I got no help from any of the medical professionals I was seeing and I had to diagnose the problem myself. I write this sucess story because I do not see on any Medical site or forum the mention of sulphur as a possible allergen. Please spread this as far as possible. It may prevent some unnessary suffering. Sincerely, Tony Comments
