Unknowingly Duped

by: JY on Wed, May 30 2007

I many years ago went over to have coffee with my daughter godmother. little did I know that her son from a second marriage was born with the herpes virus. I got sick and got a fever blister and went to the doctor much to my dismay he told me after running tests I had this simplex virus. i was dumbb founded and confused on how I could have contacted such a disease. I remember faintly that this woman had mentioned it to me over the phone that her son had a fever bilster and it was herpes. I quickly called the doctor and told him my suspicions, he confirmed what I thought was the only way I could have gotten this. This woman offered me a cup of coffee and did not wash the cup throughly. I contracted the virus this way. I confronted her with this and her nasty and unfeeling remark was I had to give you something did’nt I . Wel to say the least,… I was enraged.

I am warning people do not eat or drink anything in peoples homes unless it is seerved to you on disposable throwaway items. I only eat in fast food places as they use all disposable items. I will not eat out in a restaurant unless I first check with management to be assured they use boiling hot water in the dishwasher to cleanse the dishes. People have illnesses and diseases they will not tell you or feel that they are even endangering your very well being . Beware of your surroundings and by all means listen to the little things they say in passing had I listened and paid close attention I may have thought before I took that fateful cup of coffee. People can be mean and unfeeling and even think it’s funny or okay to pass on something to you and accept no responsibility as this woman did with me. I will never forget nor forgive this woman and have never saw nor spoken to her since that conversation. She should be ashamed of herself . She is the fool and loser in life not I .
